As a healthcare worker, I have had my share of humbling experiences. Although I have had a majority of my patient happy with my care, a small minority have had a different view. I have always tried to provide the best care to the best of my abilities. When the few times a patient was not happy with me, it definitely was a hard thing to take. I have had to learn to grow my confidence so that I can continue to do my work, live my life and not be hindered By negativity towards myself. Bottom line: learn to grow thick skin. At some point in life, we all will be disliked and unappreciated. Be happy with yourself and learn to move forward despite negativity. Learn from mistakes, if they were made and move on. Life is too short to worry about the opinions of others.
