A common thing I heard in high school was that these are going to be the best years of my life. This was completely untrue. At no point, do I think a person should think this way. If life won't get better, then why strive for anything?
Success is a never ending process. Never get too comfortable, it takes you off guard.
There are many roads you can take to get towards your goals. If one doesn't work, take another one. If the goal is important to you, you will keep trying different roads to get where you want to be.
Remember to respect the profession of others. There is generally more involved to a job than meets the eye.
There are images that we can imagine or see that produce happiness and inspires us to succeed and work hard towards our goals so these images can become a reality. What images inspire you?
Too much work? There really is no such thing. An individual decides when they have worked enough. Some are willing to do more than others.
Do not short cuts if it will compromise the work you are trying to do. The more you take shortcuts, the more it will become a habit.
Your goals will not happen over night. There will be a lot of work, time, devotion and disappointment involved. There will be a lot of trial and error. Through disappointment, continue to work hard on your goals.
If you ever worry about what doing more than what you need, don't. Always do more than what is expected.
Self discipline is one of, if not the, most important traits to have in accomplishing a goal. Talent only gets you so far. Hard work and discipline will take you the rest of the way.
