Bad things don't happen because life is out to get you. Bad things happen because life is being life.
If you work hard and work well, eventually it will not go unnoticed. No need to brag about your accomplishments. Let your work speak.
Remember the pockets of progress. The small victories even amid complete chaos. Even through the most difficult times, allow the smallest areas of progress to motivate you to keep moving.
The more prepared we are, the more ready we will be when an opportunity arises.
I enjoy seeing images of water and gorgeous mountains. I don't really care much for the desert. Other people I know can drive through miles and miles of desert land and be stunned by its beauty. Bottom line, we all have different images that inspire us. We all enjoy things differently and find joy in different ways. We should all respect that about each other.
Start your day early, begin taking action on what you want to get done, prepare early for the next day. Be productive through out the day. End your day feeling accomplished.
I remember, as a young adult, usually telling myself that one day I will travel the world. I will travel when I have the money and time to do so. One of the greatest things I've learned working in healthcare, along with being grateful and humble, is what many of my patients have taught me. Most elderly patients I have cared for made it clear to me that I must do what I love now. Many of them had plans to travel when they retired, but then became sick unexpectedly. Don't keep waiting until you're older because you never know what the future holds. If you want to do something, do it now; start today. This is one of the greatest lessons I have learned in life.
What images in your mind inspire you to go after your goals? Is it a house, money, vacation resorts, family or something else? What images inspire you?
Sometimes you have to work, even when you're tired, sick or just don't feel up to it. You can't always take a day off.
Make the time to do the things you love. Even if others don't think it makes sense.
