Can we really be great at everything? Even the most accomplished people in history were not great at everything. If you try to be great at everything, you may not succeed at anything. I've learned these lessons in the past; even just recently. Often times, taking on too much and making too many promises can lead to detriment. Make sure your most important work and priorities do not suffer from taking on too much. Make sure to prioritize what is most important to you in life, and give those things your full effort. If you overwhelm and stretch yourself too thin, you will inevitably suffer and so will all of your work. We can't be great at everything, but we can all do a few things great.
Remember your goal! Is it Still what you want? If so, carry on with your actions. Challenges, blocks, unexpected events occur regularly that can act as deterrents to our goals. Use them as learning experiences or stepping stones if your goal is still desired.
Sometimes we may need to take a completely new path, but still want the same end result. Do what is needed to reach the end result you want despite what's in the way.
Use your work for the good of others and success will come your way. Let money be the icing on the cake.
Take your work seriously. If you don't, no one will take you seriously. Put all of your effort into everything you take on. No matter how small the job may seem, if you commit to it, take it seriously. This does not mean that you can't enjoy your work. But do the best job you can. You never know when it can lead to bigger opportunities.
Let yourself be seen. Let people know what you are about. Let them know your ideas. Let them hear your goals. Letting yourself be seen and known will help attract the right people that can help you. You never know when a casual encounter at a dinner party may turn into a new career opportunity (i.e. an unknown author meeting a publisher.) That business seminar you have been dreading could turn into a great networking event. A friendly person in the park may have the answers you are looking for. Be proud of who you are and let yourself be seen. Opportunities will often present themselves in the most unlikely places.
Remember your blueprint, or your plan. Use it. Put it into action. Don't stop with a blueprint. Your plan means nothing if never acted upon.
You have all of the answers to a better life inside of you. Living your better life means always striving for more, and not just accepting good. What is your better life? That is up to you. You decide for yourself what creates your better life; what makes you happier. The answers are inside of you. You may sometimes need help finding them, but they are inside of you none-the-less.
Self motivation is the best type of motivation.
Be inspired by your own accomplishments.
Unexpected issues and problems occur in life. The best thing to do is deal with life the best you can with what you have. Don't worry about the criticisms of others. Everyone will have an opinion about how things should have been handled. While it is good to listen to the thoughts of others for future occurrences, don't let them get you down. Be proud of yourself if you feel you handled the situation the best way you could. There is definitely a difference between being an outside observer and dealing with the situation first hand.
The worst thing you can do is sit there and sulk about your problems. This will accomplish nothing. Deal with whatever situation you are dealt to the best of your ability.
If you're doing the right things and what you are meant to do, be patient; the right things will happen.
